Tradescantia is a species of spiderwort and is also known as the inchplant or wandering dude.
How Much Water?
Tradescantia should be watered when the soil starts to dry out. Keep the top inch of soil moist, which usually means watering once a week. Adjust for more or less humid conditions.
How Much Sun?
Tradescantias loves light and can tolerate all- day lighting in a home environment. We advise bright but indirect light to avoid sunburn damage to the leaves. The more natural sunlight a Tradescantia Nanouk gets, the more pink its leaves will develop!
Best Temp & Humidity?
Ideal conditions are 65°F-85°F, and not below 60°F. Tradescantia prefers humid conditions, so it’s a great plant for the bathroom, where it can enjoy the steam from your shower. Protect it from drafts and vents, since changes in temperature can shock the plant and cause damage.
Your Tradescantia is pet and kid safe, though, as always, houseplants perform best when not nibbled or plucked.
